Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Azure Kubernetes Design and Implementation:
    • Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters on Azure (AKS), ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
    • Implement best practices for container orchestration and microservices architecture within the Azure environment.
    • Implement auto-scaling, resource allocation, and load balancing for AKS workloads.
  2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    • Automate the provisioning and management of Azure resources using Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager templates.
  3. Containerization:
    • Expertise in container technologies like Docker, and hands-on experience in containerizing applications for Kubernetes deployment.
    • Develop and manage Docker containers and their orchestration within AKS.
  4. Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Implement monitoring solutions for AKS clusters using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, etc., ensuring proactive issue resolution.
    • Optimize resource utilization, cost-effectiveness, and performance of Kubernetes deployments.
  5. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices on Azure, including role-based access control (RBAC) and network policies.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, applying patches and maintaining security.
  6. Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams on Kubernetes-related initiatives.
    • Create and maintain documentation for Kubernetes configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to AKS and container orchestration.
    • Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency within Kubernetes workflows.

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Kubernetes (Helm charts, YAML configurations).
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of container image registries such as Azure Container Registry.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Specialist and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus.
